National Pawnbrokers Association unlocks free pawn industry information to non-members to aid industry during COVID-19 / coronavirus crisis
Southlake, TX – The National Pawnbrokers Association (NPA) announces a new plan to make relevant online information immediately available to all pawnbrokers for free. “We have always believed that the NPA’s mission is to protect, fight for, and educate all pawnbrokers. In order to honor that mission, the NPA will make all of our relevant breaking news, COVID-19 alerts, and government relations research available to all pawnbrokers,” said Kerry Rainey, pawnbroker and NPA President.
This information covers relevant topics like “Emergency Paid Sick Leave,” the “Families First Coronavirus Act,” and the status of pawn stores as “Financial Institutions Under Federal Law.” This information can now be easily accessed by anyone at NationalPawnbrokers.org. Mr. Rainey added, “It’s fair to say that no other organization provides the quality information, research and lobbying updates at the federal level that the NPA does. However, it is also our job to make sure that every pawnbroker across the country sees and understands the results of this work in this unprecedented time.”
In the future the NPA will be publishing more essential alerts and information to help pawnbrokers continue to do business in this precarious environment. The NPA encourages all pawnbrokers to review the website and contact by phone or email with any questions or concerns.
